Richard J. Blaha, B.A., Research Biologist / GIS

Ornithology, GIS Mapping, IT

Rich Blaha has a broad research background in wildlife and habitat studies and GIS mapping.  He has conducted a wide array of avian studies including radar investigations to detect and enumerate migrating birds near proposed windfarms and similar studies to detect Marbled Murrelets in forested areas. Beside the above, his field skills include aerial surveys for wildlife, surveys for nesting waterfowl, and botanical surveys. Finally, Rich applies his GIS skills to a number of ABR programs including habitat mapping, watershed assessments, and aquatic resource inventories.
