Bioremediation, Plant Ecology and Succession, Automated Environmental Monitoring
Tim Cater has conducted extensive research on ecological
restoration and land rehabilitation in taiga and
tundra ecosystems. He has been involved with numerous
studies related to anthropogenic disturbances in
the Arctic, including site investigations
and cleanup of crude-oil spills (including the Komi
oilspill in Russia). His special emphasis has been
on developing revegetation methods, bioremediation
treatments, wetland delineation and restoration,
remote sensing of salinity and gravel impacts, and
bioassays.
