Dorte Dissing’s training and experience is primarily related to GIS as a research tool and to teaching at the college level. She has worked extensively with command line programs like ArcInfo and has some experience with remote sensing and program writing. As a physical geographer, Dorte also has experience in cartography, hydrology, soil science, geomorphology, and geophysics. She received her Ph.D. in climatology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
