Ann works as a taxonomist for ABR, identifying
macroinvertebrates for projects located throughout
the western United States. Her expertise includes
macroinvertebrate ecology and taxonomy, as well
as stream ecology and the effects of disturbance
on freshwater ecosystems. Ann has over 10 years
of experience identifying specimens to genus or
species, doing qualitative and quantitative sampling,
sorting, and performing rapid bioassessment of streams
to determine habitat quality and stream health.
Ann is a NABS-certified taxonomist, receiving her
M.S. in stream ecology from Arizona State University
and her B.A. in biology from Dartmouth College.
