Steve Murphy joined ABR in 1981 and has been a
Principal Investigator on a number of research projects
throughout Alaska. Steve became ABR’s Research
Coordinator in 1986, and in that capacity was responsible
for quality assurance with respect to research design,
data management and analysis, and report content.
Steve was made a principal in ABR in 1998 and was
named President and Director of Research in 2002.
Besides his own research interests in caribou and
avian studies, he supervises ABR’s scientific
staff and is responsible for the technical quality
of all work conducted by ABR.
