John E. Shook, M.S., Research Biologist

Raptor Biology, Ornithology

John’s expertise has focused on population dynamics, predator/prey relationships, and behavioral and dietary investigations with raptors.  He also conducts aerial and ground surveys for breeding and staging waterfowl, including threatened Spectacled Eiders. Currently, he is involved in a number of long-term studies, including population monitoring of Peregrine Falcons in interior Alaska and Tundra Swan and Snow Geese in northern Alaska.
