Ann Wildman has been involved in numerous avian and mammalian studies throughout Alaska. Most recently, she directed studies in northern Alaska to investigate nest density and survivorship of tundra-nesting birds in relation to oil field development. She has conducted many distribution, abundance, and habitat use studies of birds and mammals by means of aerial, ground, and boat-based surveys, including Yellow-billed Loons and Peregrine Falcons surveys in northern Alaska, landbird and waterfowl surveys in southcentral and interior Alaska, and sea otter and seabird surveys in Prince William Sound.
